Lim Guan Eng should prove allegations
Lim Guan Eng should be the one proving that MCA received funds from 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) said Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
His comment came following the call made by Lim who is the secretary general of the Chinese dominated DAP party. Lim had said that MCA should return the funds channeled to the party from 1MDB.
The party leadership have been notorious for making claims not back by evidence on 1MDB namely the “missing 42 billion RM” from 1MDB which the party has dropped since winning GE14.
The party stalwart Lim Kit Siang also had claimed that the money former prime minister Najib Razak received in his accounts was from 1MDB which has been proven false by Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC).
Dr Wee said the onus is on the accuser to prove the guilt of the accused. He also demanded that if Lim had evidence of MCA accepting funds from 1MDB or suspected that MCA is involved in corruption, he should make a police report.
